“Don’t pass by the honey of life” The exhibition accompanying the StreetArtCity mural was created with the aim of raising awareness about two current issues: the disappearance of bees and the growing disconnection between humans and nature due to the excessive use of technology. The idea arose from the discovery that excellent honey is produced in the vicinity of StreetArtCity, which contrasts with the global trend of distancing ourselves from the natural world.
The mural is a visual metaphor that shows how, by replacing natural life with screens and digital connections, we are losing the very essence of life. Without bees, there is no honey, and without honey, life loses its sweetness and balance.
In the center of the composition is a large jar of honey from which the Wi-Fi symbol emerges, representing how what was once a source of life has been replaced by a technological obsession. Cybernetic surveillance camera wasps fly around them, symbolizing a nature transformed into a cold and artificial mechanism, taking the place of real bees.
On one side of the mural, however, nature resists. Lush plants grow, and colorful butterflies fly, symbols of hope and ephemeral beauty. These butterflies, however, are not born naturally, but emerge from a mechanical tube through which colorful bubbles enter. These bubbles previously emerged from the backpack of a character in the previous mural, thus creating a connection between the works and reinforcing the common message of the loss and artificial reconstruction of nature.
The contrast between the technological world in the center and the natural resistance on the side shows the conflict between two worlds: the digital, cold and artificial, and the natural, living and essential. “Ne passez pas à côté de la miel de la vie” (Don’t pass by the honey of life) is a visual warning and an invitation to reconnect with the reality that surrounds us, before only a machine-generated copy remains.
